One-day Training on Media Appearances Organized by CODEF

At the very end of 2009, Coris Educa experts held an intensive, one-day training on media appearances, which was organized by the Central Office for Development Strategy and Coordination of EU Funds (CODEF).

The training consisted of a presentation on the main tools used for media appearances, such as successful interview techniques, TV appearances, characteristics and specifics of organizing briefings, that is, successful organization of press conferences. In the opinion of the some twenty attendees, the possibility of asking experts questions during the course of the presentation has been identified as one of its main features. In this manner, all attendees could apply the theoretical framework to their own experience in communications and working with the media.

The training was attended by members of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sport, the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, the Ministry of Economy, Labor and Entrepreneurship, the Croatian Employment Service, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Physical Planning and Construction, the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, the Agency for Vocational Education and Training, the Ministry of Regional Development, Forestry and Water Management, the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, and the Central Office for Development Strategy and Coordination of European Union Funds.

One of the attendees underlined: "The benefits are multiple – from examples of communication and methods of discussion with journalists, which I will use in the future, to speaking and body posture during public appearances and participation in TV shows. This advice is of immeasurable importance!"
